Thanks for stopping in! My real estate career began after retiring from 25 years active duty from the Civil Engineer career field of the Air Force. During our Air Force life, my family and I (my wife is retired A.F. as well) moved between 12 assignments in 8 states and 5 countries. I certainly understand and empathize with the stresses, challenges and uncertainty of relocating (both far and near) which is compounded by selling and purchasing homes, which we also had to do during those moves. Little did I know that my prior career would prepare me so well for my future career as a real estate professional. I am well equipped to help you successfully navigate the challenges of homes sales and home purchases to make any transition as smooth as possible!
While stationed in Texas, we began our Spokane home search on the Internet. I found a pretty cool house so I clicked a button for more information and it put me in contact with some local realtors. We flew up for a few days and toured some houses with the realtors. At first, everything was good, but none of the homes were right for us and that’s when things started getting ugly. The relators began pressuring us hard to make an offer even though the homes we saw in those 5 days didn’t come close to meeting our wants and needs; it felt like we were on the proverbial used car sales lot. It was a terrible experience, but it completely formed how I’d later conduct my own real estate business….
I will never, ever pressure you into entering a deal or making an offer that you’re not ready for. My goal is not to get a client to “sign on the dotted line”. My goal is to build my business on good relationships with good people using integrity, respect and professionalism. If you think getting heavy sales pitches or a hyper aggressive give-me-your-business-now manner reflects the character you want working for you in a real estate transaction, then I’m not the guy for you. However, do not confuse this with responsiveness and a sense of urgency I will exhibit to earn (not talk you into) your continued business and hopefully your eagerness to refer me to your friends and family.
The military brought us here, but a love of the Spokane area kept us here. My family is, of course, immensely important to me. We prioritize our family time experiencing and enjoying all that Spokane has to offer, especially the surrounding nature. Though only school-aged, my two kids are often challenging me to get to the top of hills while mountain biking. During sport seasons you can normally find me either shuttling them both to or standing on a field somewhere around city. Both kids have developed an instant liking of fresh water fishing, which cracks me up because, until moving here, I had only gone deep-sea fishing. Through friends and family, we’ve also been bitten by the camping bug, but that’s a paragraph for another time……
I feel that having the right real estate agent means having an agent who is committed to helping you buy or sell your home with the highest level of expertise in your local market. This means also to help you in understanding each step of the buying or selling process. This commitment level has helped me build a remarkable track record of delivering results.
